The Public Disclosure Commission gathers and shares data on contributors to campaigns of candidates and elected officials, and on how that money is spent, in an effort to increase transparency in lobbying and government. With Spokane's upcoming mayoral race, the focus has been on the 10 candidates running for the position, particularly on incumbent mayor, Nadine Woodward, and Lisa Brown, who resigned her role as director of Washington State Department of Commerce ahead of her announcement to run.
